Equipment stolen from Central Middle School

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Madison County Investigators are looking into a case of stolen property from a county school.

Sergeant Brent Patterson said sometime after 11:00 a.m. Saturday, unknown offenders took a large amount of lawn equipment from the Central Middle School.

The items included two Hustler 72″ zero turn riding lawn mowers, one cub cadet riding lawn mower and an attached trailer.

These listed items were stored at the Central School ballpark. Sgt. Patterson said none if the property was covered by insurance. The property is used to maintain the ball fields at the school for the children.

Witnesses in the area observed a gold Honda Odyssey van and a older model black Ford F-150 in the area Saturday that appeared suspicious. Anyone with any suspect information is urged to contact the Criminal Investigations Division.
