HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Young area musicians got a chance to attend a new program Thursday.

The Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps conducted a day-long camp for student performers from across North Alabama.

The BLUE WAY - South was a chance for these students, ages 14-21, to perform alongside the elite drum corps at Milton Frank Stadium.

The corps was in Huntsville, ahead of Friday's DCI North Alabama 2016, a regional competition for some of the world's top marching music ensembles.

The Huntsville camp provided instruction in brass, snare drum and tenor drums, drum major and color guard.

The Bluecoats are a non-profit performing arts organization based out of Ohio.
