MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Crews continue to work on railroad crossings in the Moores Mill area all the way to Gurley.  Today, they’ll be on Moores Mill Road during the mid-day hours.

Crews will be at the Moores Mill Road crossing, at Chase Road, to make adjustments to the asphalt approaches.  The work should take a few hours.  Traffic flow will be alternated on two lanes, so please use an alternate route if you plan to head this way.

The Moores Mill crossing will be open by late afternoon/evening, so traffic should flow more smoothly later on.

Crews are working Monday through Thursday.  They also plan to adjust the asphalt approaches at the crossings on Jordan Road, Ryland Pike, Dug Hill Road, Brownsboro Road, Moontown Road and Salty Bottom.

They’re hoping for sunny weather so they can finish the work on time.
