HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – There will be wine and children’s toys. German cuisine and Mexican specialties. Cupcakes and custom drapes.
It’s a varied assortment, representing the wide range of businesses you’ll find on Whitesburg Drive, in the area between California Street and Huntsville Hospital.
This year, one of those businesses is renewing an old tradition.
Christmas on Whitesburg is set for Saturday, December 5 from 9am to 5pm.
Nikki Skidmore owns Southerland Station, which moved from Governors Drive to Whitesburg Drive last year.
She says, “we moved in April of 2014 and nobody was doing Christmas on Whitesburg anymore. So, I reached out to some of our neighbors and said, ‘why don’t we try to bring it back?'”
About a dozen businesses have signed on to participate.
