Christian Women’s Job Corps of Madison County to begin new semester of free classes

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - The Christian Women's Job Corps of Madison County is about to begin its Spring 2015 semester.

The classes offer free help in job training, money management, career development and GED preparation. They are open to women ages 18-60.

There are no financial or educational requirements. However, applicants must be alcohol/drug-free for at least six months.

Transportation assistance is available. A limited number of daycare scholarships are also available.

Classes will be held at the following locations:

The PLACE Ministry Center, 3911 Pulaski Pike, North Huntsville

  • Applications due January 29
  • Orientation on February 18
  • First day of class on February 23
  • Classes meet Monday-Wednesday, 8:30am-2:00pm

First Baptist Church, 600 Governors Drive, Huntsville

  • Applications due February 2
  • Orientation on February 19
  • First day of class on February 23
  • Classes meet Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-3:00pm

Inside-Out Ministries, 103 Gin Oaks Court, Madison

  • Applications due January 23
  • Orientation on February 10
  • First day of class on February 17
  • Classes meet Tuesday and Wednesday, 11:00am-2:30pm

The spring semester runs 10 weeks.

All applications may be picked up and dropped off in the front office of First Baptist Church on Governor's Drive or at Inside-Out Ministries on Gin Oaks Court in Madison.
