MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) - Madison Police officers were on the scene of train accident, shutting down Shelton Road completely at the Oakland Road intersection.

The accident happened around 8:30 Saturday evening. A car and train collided on the railroad tracks.

Officers say the driver jumped out of the car before the train hit, and is not hurt.
