Update: Victim identified in late-night shooting in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Huntsville police are working to track down the person responsible for a deadly late-night shooting.

Police have identified the victim as Jerry Lamario Caudle, Jr.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Holmes Avenue and Triana Boulevard.  Police and HEMSI paramedics found Caudle in the road suffering from gunshot wounds.  Paramedics say Caudle was shot in the chest.  He was able to tell investigators two masked men shot him.  Police blocked off the Holmes Avenue Access Road where they believe the shooting happened to collect evidence.

Paramedics rushed Caudle to Huntsville Hospital where he died a short time later.   Please call Huntsville police if you have any information on this case.
