MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WHNT) – The Alabama Supreme Court denied Amy Bishop Anderson’s latest appeal of her capital murder conviction Friday.

The court rendered no opinion, meaning the writ of appeal has been denied.

Bishop’s attorney, Ron Smith, tells WHNT News 19 that with the decision Bishop has exhausted her appeals.

In September 2012, Bishop pleaded guilty to capital murder in the February 2010 shooting deaths of three UAH professors.  Bishop’s last appeal to the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals was denied in April.

Bishop is serving life without parole at Tutwiler Prison for Women in Wetumpka.
