HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) said The U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force caught a capital murder suspect in Anniston.
HPD said on Tuesday that two capital murder warrants were obtained for Tye’ Deshun Stevens, 23, of Huntsville after two people were killed in a shooting on Bonnell Drive on August 29.
According to the department, the task force located Stevens in Anniston on Wednesday afternoon. Stevens will be brought back to the Madison County Jail and booked on the two capital murder warrants.



Officers responded to a shooting call on Bonnell Drive around 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29 where D’Asia Monique Morris, 24, and Sequoiya Mone’e Lamar, 20 were both found fatally shot, according to HPD.
“The Huntsville Police Department would like to thank the public for its assistance in helping locate Stevens,” HPD said.
