HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)- Eric Artrip makes his point clearly.

"The U.S. Space and Rocket Center is not paying their employees properly. “

Artrip is representing three current or former United States Space and Rocket Center employees. He says a state audit clearly shows the three employees were not paid according to state law.

"The U.S. Space and Rocket Center is a department of the state of Alabama and as such is required to pay all state holidays. The state holidays are laid out in the Alabama code. We would hope they wouldn't ignore them.”

Space and Rocket Center spokesman Tim Hall says the huge tourist attraction is a commission and not a state agency.

"We are overseen by a commission of the state of Alabama," Hall said.  "A lot of people get confused with that. "

As for the pending litigation, Hall says the USSRC's policy on reacting to lawsuits is clear.

"It is our policy not to comment on any pending litigation,” he said.

Artrip says the people he represents are not seeking riches from litigation.

"We are not seeking millions of dollars here. What we are seeking is to make the center do what it should have been doing under Alabama law," Artrip said.
