HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - The Tinsel Trail has become one of downtown Huntsville's signature holiday events, and this year's trail will be bigger and better than ever.

Trees are now open for sponsorships - visit tinseltrail.com.  Regular trees are $250 each and flagship trees are $750.  There are a limited number of flagship trees available.

Anyone can sponsor a tree -- businesses, groups or families.  Get creative and think of a cool design!  If you'd like to sponsor a tree but don't have time to decorate it, you can also donate it to a local non-profit.

The Tinsel Trail is open November 28 through January 2.  It's free to visit and begins in Big Spring Park just behind the Huntsville Museum of Art.  This year, Downtown Huntsville Inc. is working to expand the trail to Big Spring Park East, so you can enjoy the trail all the way to the Courthouse Square.  There are also plans to entertainment events.

Trees are lit from dusk to midnight each night.

All tree sponsorships are 100% tax-deductible donations to Downtown Huntsville Inc.
