Crunkleton & Associates is announcing a new shopping center, named Winchester Commons -- A 8,800 square foot development, next to the CVS and across the street from Huntsville`s newest forthcoming Wal-Mart Supercenter. Although the land is technically Huntsville's, the Riverton community lies in Commissioner Roger Jones' district.
"We're excited. That area is really growing. We're going to get a Super Wal-Mart out there plus this other strip center," Jones said of the development Wednesday.
Confirmed tenants for the new development include several local Huntsville favorites including Beauregard`s restaurant, Wilson Cleaners, and Victoria Nails.
"It'll make life better for the people out in that community and give them an option of several other places to shop," Jones said.
The Winchester Commons project is slated for completion in the spring of 2016. Construction on the new Wal-Mart Supercenter, Madison County's ninth, began this spring and is expected to take about a year to complete.
