Alert: Roads Slick in Parts of Huntsville, Madison County

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Police and road crews warn of black ice due to melting and refreezing of light snow in Huntsville and Madison County.

A few roads have become impassable, and many have slick spots:

-AL 35 -- Several slick spots, but is not impassable
-Albertville -- Road conditions dangerous. Stay off the roads except in extreme emergencies!
-Big Cove Road -- Several icy spots
-California Drive -- Icy spots
-Etowah County -- All roads are impassable. The Sheriff's Office asks that you stay off the roads
-Hwy 65 -- Several slick spots, particularly bad between mile marker 9 and 11
-Madison City -- Roads passable, but use caution
-Memorial Parkway -- Icy access roads. Use extreme caution!
-Owens Cross Roads -- All side roads off of 431 are icy. Use extreme caution!
-Powell City streets are impassable. Police ask that you stay off of them

Please use caution wherever you drive today.  There are several other icy spots not listed here.  Crews are treating several spots Tuesday afternoon prior to rush hour.
