HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The counters are polished. The trucks fully stocked. The road blocked off.  Everything is in place for the start of the 2015 Street Food Season in Downtown Huntsville.

The first rally will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, April 16 on Church Street by Big Spring Park.  More than 30 food trucks and vendors are participating.

The season will run through October, with the gatherings taking place on the third Friday of each month.

There will also be three breakfast rallies this summer.  Those are scheduled for 7-10am on June 27, July 25 and August 29. The location will be the Northside Square.

In addition to last year’s participants, there are also half a dozen newcomers for the 2015 season.

One of those is Cottage Crepes, owned by Heather and Jeff Baggett.  The father-daughter team is excited to bring their sweet and savory crepes to the food truck scene.

“Huntsville is really developing a street food culture like you see in other parts of the country,” said Heather Baggett.
