Huntsville man arrested after early morning chase

Huntsville, Ala. (WHNT) –  An early morning police chase led to the arrest of a Huntsville man with outstanding warrants.

Huntsville police say the chase began around 12:30 when Ryan Christoper Ward was pulled over for a routine traffic stop on North Memorial Parkway. However, Ward took off down Country Club toward Sparkman Drive and Chapman Mountain. Police say a brief foot chase ensued when Ward left his car along Gaslight Way.

In addition to his outstanding warrants, Ward has been charged with obstructing government operations.
