(CNN) — Honda is recalling more than 350,000 Civic two door four door 1.5L turbo and 2.0L vehicles because their parking brakes may not work correctly.
The company says a software glitch may prevent the electronic parking brakes from engaging if it is applied immediately after turning the ignition off. The flaw could cause a car to roll away and potentially lead to injuries.
The company says that so far no accidents or injuries have been reported.
Honda will start notifying their owners next month and dealers will fix the glitch for free. Honda owners also can call the company’s customer service at 1-888-234-2138 and refer to recall number KC6.
People seeking more information can call National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
