A high-speed chase ended along North Memorial Parkway in Huntsville around 10:30 Monday morning.  Two people are in custody.

Alabama State Troopers tried to pull over 39-year-old Donny Adams of Elora, Tenessee at Highway 231 and Walker Lane in Hazel Green for a traffic violation.  Troopers say Adams wouldn’t stop, and went on for about 10 minutes into Huntsville.

Madison County Sheriff’s deputies joined in the chase, along with Huntsville Police.  They put down spike strips.  Eventually, the suspect’s gray Ford F-150 went over the spike strips and fishtailed, finally stopping at the intersection of North Memorial Parkway and Cox Avenue.  That’s along the access road, next to B.F. Goodrich and Big Ed’s Pizza.

Police arrested Adams and his girfriend and passenger who was later released.

Donny Adams is charged with reckless endangerment, failure to have liability insurance, driving without a license, failure to register a vehicle and attempting to elude a police officer.
