GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Guntersville Police, and Guntersville Fire and Rescue responded to help people in a boat that was taking on water. The call came in around 11:15 Saturday morning.

Officers say close to ten people, mostly children, were on the boat and are safe.

Guntersville Fire and Rescue, Guntersville Police, and Guntersville Rescue Squad all helped in the rescue efforts.

The boat had to be towed out of the water. The Marshall County EMA was called out as a precaution, however, there was not a large fuel spill, just fumes.

There were no injuries during the incident.
