Funerals Set For Auburn Shooting Victims; Vigil Planned Thursday

Funerals are set for the three young men who died in Saturday night’s shooting at an apartment complex in Auburn.

Services for Ladarious Phillips are at 1 p.m. Friday at the Handley High School gymnasium in Roanoke. 

Demario Pitts’ funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Loachapoka.

Ed Christian’s service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at J.E. Mathis Municipal Auditorium in Valdosta, Georgia.

Three others were wounded.

There will be a candlelight vigil to remember the victims on the lawn of Samford Hall on the Auburn University campus at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Desmonte Leonard is charged in the shootings.  He surrendered to U.S. Marshals on Tuesday night.  Leonard faces three counts of capital murder and two counts of assault.
