2 dead, 2 injured in Limestone/Madison County Wreck

LIMESTONE/MADISON COUNTY, Ala. – Two people died in a three-vehicle wreck that happened on Alabama Highway 53 three miles south of Ardmore at 6:45 a.m. Saturday.

Senior Trooper Chuck Daniel said Jaquarius Lamon Smith, 25, of Huntsville, was killed when the 2007 Buick sedan, he was driving, struck a 2009 Ford ambulance and a 2017 Dodge pickup.

Authorities said Smith and his passenger, Terrell Marquae Jolly, 30, of Huntsville, were not wearing seatbelts and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said the ambulance was not in service.

HEMSI spokesman Don Webster said the two occupants of the ambulance were injured and taken to a local area hospital.

Authorities said the driver and occupants of the Dodge pickup were not injured.

ALEA State Troopers continuing to investigate the wreck.
