U.S. flags will be flown at half-staff until sundown on Friday, May 15 in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day.

President Trump issued the proclamation Thursday.

The day falls during National Police Week, a week honoring and recognizing law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
