Fire out at Opryland Hotel in Nashville, guests evacuated as a precaution

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A fire broke out Wednesday in a restaurant at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville.

The Nashville Fire Department responded at 12 p.m.  Video showed heavy smoke coming from part of the hotel complex.

According to, firefighters said there was a fire in the kitchen at the Old Hickory Steakhouse and spread to vents and then to the hotel’s roof.

Guests were evacuated as a precaution. One firefighter was treated on the scene for heat exposure.  The hotel has smoke damage, according to WKRN.
