Fire Damages Home In Hillsboro

HILLSBORO, Ala. (WHNT) – Around 3:45 a.m. three Volunteer Fire Departments, Hillsboro, Courtland, and Chalybeate, all responded to a house fire on 2nd Avenue in Hillsboro.

When Firefighters arrived, part of the roof of the house had already caved in, and flames engulfed the south end. The house had heavy fire, smoke, and water damage.

There was a couple living there, however they were not home at the time.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
