Final Day Of The Bulldog Classic

In the first contest of day three of the 2012 Bulldog Baseball Classic, Western Illinois came away with a 9-3 victory over the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore.
The Hawks struck first with two runs in the top of the third inning off of two Leatherneck errors. WIU then took over at the plate posting five of their seven hits over the next six innings resulting in nine runs.
Western ended the weekend with a 2-1 record.UMES’s finished the tournament 0-3 and was led in their final game at Joe Davis stadium by Stephen Bull who went 1 for 2 with a run and a RBI.
The final game of the three-day weekend saw the Bulldogs fall 7-0 to Indiana State. The Maroon & White finished the classic with a 1-3 record resulting in a 3-5 overall mark.
For the third straight game the Bulldog bats stayed cool as A&M finished with only three hits. Juan Lopez led the way at the plate going 2 for 3.The Sycamores posted their third straight contest with double digit hits of 13. ISU ended the tournament the big winner with a 4-0 record.The All-tournament team is listed as follows:
