HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - So love is in the air, but that doesn't mean your hard-earned cash has to just fly away.

WHNT NEWS 19 took action and did some homework for you to help you save money and still feel the love this Valentine's Day.

The holiday of love is Friday, February 14th, and there are some great deals out there for sweethearts -- from chocolate covered fruit, to romantic overnight stays with some extras that are sure to please.

First, if you want to say 'I love you' with decadent chocolate, Godiva is offering 20 percent off of a box.

For less guilt, chocolate-dipped fruit is an option.  Shari's Berries is offering a Groupon.  You get $30 worth of chocolate dipped berries for $15.

The deal is good through Valentine's Day.

Experts say, however, the best deals for chocolate come the day after Valentine's Day.  That's when some of the top manufacturers slash their prices.

Old Man Winter still has a hold on the Tennessee Valley.  That's where a nice warm hug in the form of a top-quality coat might be nice.

Retailers are putting expensive winter coats on clearance, as they look ahead to spring.  You can get an L.L. Bean, Lands End or Columbia jacket for up to 70 percent off.

There are all kinds of online coupons available for Valentine's Day jewelry, if your a looking for bling for your baby.

What about a overnight romantic getaway?  You don't even have to leave the Tennessee Valley.

Many hotels are offering packages that include dinner, coupons, wine, chocolates and late checkout the next day.

Homewood Suites by Hilton in Providence is charging $146.77.  That's with taxes included.  It's their sweetheart package available through February 17th.

Hampton Inn and Suites Research Park offers an overnight stay with extra goodies for $160.85.

And the Mariott in Decatur charges $191, taxes included.

Each deal includes different goodies and freebies, but they're all designed to foster love.

Even Alabama's state parks are offering romantic getaways, as they celebrate their 75th birthday.

Cheaha State Park, east of Birmingham and south of Gadsden, has a sweetheart weekend with a dinner buffet of smoked oysters, Wedding Soup, Red Velvet Cake and chocolate fondue with fresh strawberries among other items.
