WASHINGTON, D.C. — FEMA said Tuesday morning federal emergency aid has been made available to Alabama as Hurricane Sally approaches the Gulf Coast.

FEMA said President Trump had approved Alabama’s emergency declaration, which will allow FEMA to deploy equipment and resources to help the state.

Hurricane Sally is expected to make landfall along the Gulf Coast sometime Wednesday.

In North Alabama, heavy rain is expected from the storm later this week.
