HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – This weekend, head over to the Von Braun Center East Exhibit Hall to see more than 200 quilts featured in a bi-annual quilt show. It’s hosted by Heritage Quilters of Huntsville.
The show includes a judged exhibit of quilts, a Gee’s Bend inspired quilt exhibit and sale, a raffle quilt, a silent auction of quilts, lectures by local quilters, a special presentation by Gee’s Bend artist Loretta Bennett and door prizes.
The show is open to the public 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and Noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Quilt enthusiasts can also participate in the quilt lecture series at 1:00 each day. A featured artist will present at the lecture series each day.
There will be a Gee’s Bend presentation at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Admission to the quilt show is $8. Children under the age of 6 are free.
