OPELIKA, Ala. – According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, state inmate Adryll Detise Banks, 37 who escaped from the Hamilton Work Release Center Friday has been recaptured.
Investigators from the Department of Corrections Investigations and Division recaptured Banks without incident at a hotel in Opelika around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
A stolen vehicle Banks used in his escape was recovered at the scene.
Banks was serving a 20-year sentence for first degree robbery on a 2012 conviction out of Lee County.
He faces charges for the escape and other offenses.
