HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – As Tennessee Valley kids get ready to head back to class, WHNT News 19 is Taking Action to showcase some helpful education-related apps.

Monday’s featured app – myHomework – was suggested by viewer Kristen Goode through Facebook. You can send your suggestions to WHNT News 19 technology reporter Michelle Stark.

myHomework is a replacement for the standard student organizer or calendar. The digital tool allows students to track classes, homework, tests and assignments. There’s also a calendar.

Students can import information on their classes and assignments themselves, or sync with a teacher’s app called Teachers.io.

There’s also an announcement tool so that school administrators can communicate key announcements with users of the myHomework app.

Sign-up for the myHomework app includes access to the main website and also provides sync capabilities across all platforms.

myHomework is free to download for both Apple and Android devices.

A premium version is available for $4.99.
