(WHNT) – If you recently registered to vote or you don’t know where you vote, there are a few resources you can check.
Alabamavotes.gov, managed by the Secretary of State’s office, has several helpful resources but it’s being hit with a heck of a lot of web traffic today.
NOTE: Many people are checking the polling site part of the website today (March 1) and the website has been down at some points. At other times, it works. The Secretary of State’s Office is aware of the issue. You can also call the voter registrar’s office in your county if you’re not sure where you vote:
Colbert County: (256) 386-8500
Cullman County: (256) 775-4750
DeKalb County: (256) 845-8598
Franklin County: (256) 332-8849
Jackson County: (256) 574-9339
Lauderdale County: (256) 760-5840
Lawrence County: (256) 974-2460
Limestone County: (256) 233-6405
Madison County: (256) 532-3510
Marshall County: (256) 571-7740
Morgan County: (256) 351-4660
If the page does load, you can locate your polling place. You have a few more quick boxes to select, and the website will lay out your polling place for the next few election cycles.
We’ve also posted sample ballots for north Alabama counties.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Alabama. They are open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Lincoln County, Tennessee.
