Hurricane Sandy brought some remarkable images of destruction this week – many of them spread like wildfire around the web. Unfortunately, many people also got “taken in” with images that were fake or photoshopped. So how can you tell the difference going forward?
You might try what’s called a reverse image search. The website TinEye, for example, allows you to search an image’s online “trail” in hopes of finding a point of origin.
