Man killed in DeKalb County shooting identified

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. – A Geraldine man was killed in a shooting Monday night.

Jeremy Heath Perry, 33, was killed on County Road 20 near County Road 46, in the Skirum community, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies and investigators were called to the scene around 8:30 p.m. Monday.

The shooting is still under investigation, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities did not release any information about suspects or possible arrests, but did say in a Facebook post that there was no threat to the community.
