DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – Decatur Police put a stop to several months of illegal drug activity in one neighborhood in the area.

Decatur Police officers arrested Xavier Robinson Friday night. It happened near the intersection of Tower Street and 18th Avenue in Decatur.

Decatur Police say several complaints about illegal activity led them to investigate the neighborhood. Investigators say when they found Robinson,  they smelled a strong marijuana odor on him. They say they found marijuana and synthetic cannabis or ‘Spice’ when they searched him.

They charged Robinson with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Early Saturday morning, Decatur Police also charged Frankie Aldridge with possession of a controlled substance after they found ‘Spice’ in his car.

Both Robinson and Aldridge are the Morgan County jail.
