HARTSELLE, Ala. – Hartselle Police have a suspect in custody who they say robbed at Kroger and was the subject of a multiple agency search.

Authorities have arrested Londell Ramone Nunn Jr. in connection with the crime.

Hartselle Police Department tweeted that they responded to a robbery at Kroger in Hartselle Wednesday around 10:45 a.m.

Hartselle police say that the robber told the clerk he had a gun and got away with around $2000.00 cash.

Multiple agencies responded to help search for the man. A short time after the robbery, police say the suspect was involved in a wreck and left the scene of the accident near Mountainview Road and Georgia Street.

Law enforcement officials with Huntsville police and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office maintained a perimeter that was set early in the day while also responding to numerous tips, possible sightings, and calls of suspicious activity.

While on Longhorn Pass a citizen informed an officer that they saw a suspicious person on Mountain View. Priceville police, HPD and MCSO responded, saw a man and gave chase into the woods where he was apprehended.

Authorities found Londell Ramone Nunn Jr., 27, of Decatur, Georgia, hiding in the woods. Nunn is charged with first-degree robbery and is in jail on a $60,000 bond.

“Thanks to Hartselle Police, Morgan Co Sheriff’s deputies, Limestone Prison K-9 unit and Priceville officials for the hard work today in capturing the suspect,” said Hartselle Mayor Randy Garrison on Facebook. “Great work and thanks to all involved.”

HPD officers and MCSO deputies searched the area around the railroad track, Longhorn Pass and the Landfill.
