LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. – Several Joe Wheeler customers are experiencing issues when they try to pay for their bills online. The issues are so bizarre that several customers were concerned that the system was hacked.

George Kitchens the General Manager of Joe Wheeler says, “we let our website service get behind and we have had to shut it down for maintenance.” So despite all of the crazy pages popping up on your computer when you try to pay your bill, the website is not hacked. It just needs some updating.

“Our website is going to be down for maintenance to address security concerns that we have about the website, but during the mean time there are other ways you can make payments if that is a concern you need to do us,” say Kitchens. Unfortunately, you do still have to pay your bill.

There are multiple ways to pay your bill while the site is down. You can call (256)-552-2300 and pay with a debit or credit card over the phone. If you want to be old-fashioned, you can mail your bill to this address below.
