ELKMONT, Ala. (WHNT) – Eleven vintage Harley Davidson motorcycles will be sold at auction Saturday morning by the Internal Revenue Service. Included among the motorcycles is a 1947 “pan head” Harley, and a 1950 125cc Harley with only 7 actual miles on it.

The IRS auction starts at 9:00 A.M.

Immediately afterwards, Brian Willis will start HIS auction.  He owns Asset Auctions, located in Elkmont.

In addition to housing the 11 motorcycles the IRS plans to sell, it’s Willis’ business to seek out and find unique items to buy and sell.

Among the items he will auction off following the IRS sale, are several motorcycles and vintage automobiles, including a classic, all original 1954 Chevrolet Bel-Air.  WHNT News 19 saw the car today and its easy to guess it has lived in a garage for the last 58 years. And there are many others.

Willis says he’s fortunate to be able to make a living doing something he enjoys. He describes himself as a third-generation horse trader.

Visitors Saturday will see everything from bar stools, an air boat, a cement mixer, generators, cars, trucks campers and RV’s go on the auction block.

“It’s going to be a fun day,” Willis says.

To get there, take I-65 north to the Elkmont exit. Turn left to cross over the interstate and then immediately turn right.  Asset Auctions is located at 25885 Upper Elkton Road, Elkmont, AL 35620.
