MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – The funeral is being held today for a Morgan County volunteer firefighter who recently died on his way to a house fire.

Family and friends are gathering at First United Methodist Church in Hartselle to remember the life of Jantzen Frazier, 28.

We will have coverage of the funeral Wednesday on WHNT News 19 at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.

Frazier had just retired from the Army and was a fairly new member of Oden Ridge Fire and Rescue.  He had deployed to Iraq twice.

Frazier died while responding to a fire October 17 on Wilson Mountain Road in Morgan County.  Authorities say he died after crashing an Oden Ridge fire truck into a power pole, flipping the truck.

Jantzen Frazier leaves behind a wife and four children.
