Homicide investigation underway after man’s body found in Tennessee River, Morgan County Deputies say

SOMERVILLE, Ala. – According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a body found in the Tennessee River near Bluff City Landing Wednesday.

Deputies said on Thursday, the body found in the river is now a homicide investigation. The white male has been identified as 54-year-old David James McCluskey of Russelville.

Deputies responded to the call around 6:30 a.m. The cause of death has not been confirmed.

This is an ongoing investigation.
