MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Three people were hurt in a wreck Monday afternoon on Highway 67 between Priceville and Somerville.

The wreck happened just after 1 p.m. near Henderson Greenwell Road.  Responders tell WHNT News 19’s crew on the scene mail carrier Brooke Dalton, 28, of Somerville was delivering mail in a private vehicle.  She was stopped along Highway 67, at a mailbox, alongside the westbound lanes.

Witnesses say a car driven by Christopher Clarke, 31, of Huntsville, headed eastbound veered off the road, then came back and crossed the center line and hit Dalton’s vehicle head-on.

In all the confusion, a motorcycle driven by Alexander Oberneder, 63, of Trussville going westbound hit both cars and stopped a short distance away.

Dalton was flown by helicopter to Huntsville Hospital. Clarke and Oberneder were both taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Several agencies are assisting on the scene, including Priceville Police, Priceville and Somerville Volunteer Fire Departments and Alabama State Troopers.  Troopers are handling the investigation.

There is no word yet on anyone’s condition. There is no word on whether charges will be filed.
