DECATUR, Ala. – One person was killed in an overnight homicide in Decatur on Sunday.
Decatur Police said they were called to the 3200-block of Modaus Road around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.
When officers arrived, they said they found 52-year-old Wayne Harold Jones had been shot and killed.
Decatur Police said Michael Elijah Vasquez was developed as a suspect.
Vasquez turned himself in at the Decatur Police Department on Sunday morning for the charge of murder, according to police.
Vasquez is being held at the Morgan County Jail on a $150,000 bond.

The Decatur Police Department stated the homicide is believed to be an isolated incident.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
