There’s a huge new attraction opening near San Diego, California, on Friday, April 5th:  the Legoland Hotel.  And it is much more than a hotel.  You can read all about it and see pictures here.

The hotel is a three-story 250-room structure amidst a park that includes 60 rides, shows and attractions, a water park and an aquarium.

At the entrance, visitors are greeted by a dinosaur that stands nine feet tall and 34 feet long made from Lego bricks.   And there are more than 3,400 Lego models in the hotel, made from more than three-million Lego bricks.

The resort is located in Carlsbad, California, about 35 miles north of San Diego, and there`s already an iPhone app and Android app created for it.

It’s been under construction since 2011 and is opening a month ahead of schedule.
