Vendors gathered at Hays Nature Preserve to celebrate the 42nd annual Earth Day.

Operation Green Team organized a group of vendors to showcase “green” energy, sustainable lifestyles, and home-grown foods.

Guests got the chance to sample and buy organic vegetables and herbs, learn about easy every day ways to save resources, and see animals whose habitats are threatened by urban growth.

“Respecting our Earth is the most important thing that we can do,” said Operation Green Team Director Joy McKee.

“We have to think about the generations after this generation, and the generations to come.”

Visitors were given young trees to take home and plant.
