Car Flips, Leaves Man Seriously Injured

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - Alabama State Troopers are investigating a wreck that sent one man to the hospital. They say Thomas Carr of Athens lost control of his vehicle at about 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Law enforcement officers responded to a call of an overturned vehicle. It happened on Reid Road in Limestone County, west of Athens near Highway 72.

According to officials, it appears the vehicle went off the road. It then hit a culvert, causing the vehicle to go airborne. It flipped and landed upside down in a driveway.

Carr was thrown from the vehicle and was taken to Huntsville Hospital. He is in serious condition.
