CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – One person is dead and another injured following a single vehicle crash on I-65 in Cullman County early Sunday morning. According to Alabama State Troopers, the fatal incident happened at 1:00 a.m. about two miles south of Dodge City on in Cullman County.
The driver of the ’07 Chevy Tahoe was 23-year-old Gerald Tobert of Birmingham, troopers said he is not injured. However, 26- year- old Shequita Wallace of Birmingham died in the crash, and 23 – year- old Jasmine Woody of Birmingham was transported to the hospital with injuries. Troopers said neither passenger was wearing her seatbelt.
Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick tells WHNT that Tobert, Wallace, and Woody were travelling back to Birmingham from Alabama A&M’s homecoming game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
