MORGAN COUNTY, Alabama (WHNT) — A dispute over property turned into a fight, and then a stabbing Sunday night. Authorities have also connected a vehicle crash to the stabbing.
The stabbing happened around 9:00 p.m. in Lacey’s Spring.
According to authorities, a man put a relative in a headlock and wouldn’t let go, so the relative pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the stomach. The stabbing victim’s condition is not known.
Authorities say the stabbing victim then got into a car and drove north along Highway 231. The victim later got out of the car and started walking. He was spotted by a motorist, and that motorist took him to Huntsville Hospital.
A few minutes later, another car driving on Highway 231 ran into the abandoned vehicle. No one was injured in that wreck.
