MADISON COUNTY, Ala. - Huntsville police picked up a man early Thursday morning believed to be responsible for multiple robberies of the elderly.
Trenton Logan, 26, is accused of robbing an elderly woman in her driveway in a subdivision near Joe Quick Road on Wednesday afternoon.
Madison County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Donny Shaw said the woman had just gotten home around 4:15 p.m. when a man drove up and asked if she had just been to Publix. The man then ran to her and grabbed her purse, Shaw said.
The man ran when the woman's husband came around the corner of the house, according to Shaw.
The sheriff's office gathered images of the suspect from places they said the woman had visited and circulated them to try and locate him. A Huntsville Police Department officer saw a vehicle matching the getaway car's description on University Drive around 3 a.m. and took Logan into custody.
