Authorities confirm 4 dead, 1 injured in Cullman County wreck

CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. – ALEA State Troopers say they are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 67 in Cullman County.

The crash occurred around 8:00 a.m. near Cullman County 1763, according to Troopers.

Allen Dewanne Gore, 41 of Somerville, died when the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix he was driving crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a Peterbilt log truck. Gore died at the scene. Troopers say Gore was not wearing his seatbelt.

Holly Marie Young, 23, and two children ages 2 and 4, who were passengers in the Pontiac, also died at the scene.

Emergency crews took the injured driver of the Peterbilt truck to a local hospital.

Troopers continue their investigation.
