ATHENS, Ala. (WHNT) – Tax Day cometh on April 15th. One local group of seniors is helping make that sometimes painful process a little easier.
RSVP, or Retired Senior Volunteer Program, is offering free tax preparation help to senior citizens and people who are struggling financially in Morgan and Limestone Counties.
Volunteers started the service in February and will continue through April 15th.
They work out of First Baptist Church in Athens on Mondays and Thursdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
They also serve people in Morgan County at the Decatur Public Library. They are there on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
