ATHENS, Ala. (WHNT) – Athens Fire and Rescue crews battled a structure fire near Hwy 72 and Jefferson Street on Tuesday.
Fire Chief James Hand said the home was for sale and not occupied. The house was deemed a total loss.
No one was injured in the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
