ATHENS, Ala. – Some residents have been evacuated from their homes on Wood Street after a report of a gas leak.
Those residents will be evacuated until the gas has been shut off.
Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson says that the area has been blocked off.
Wood Street is located near the Athens State University.
